Presenter Bio:
Laura is a mental health occupational therapist who is completing her doctoral studies in Borderline Personality Disorder recovery. Laura lives in recovery from BPD and runs an NDIS private practice providing support for people living with BPD. Laura is an experienced educator and speaker, who teachers at Monash University in Frankston, Vic, Australia, The recorded Webinar was presented to OTs in Arizona at a special interest meeting.
Goals of the Webinar
- Develop a deeper understanding of how to work in partnership with people who live with Borderline Personality Disorder and Complex Trauma
- Develop an understanding of narrative, trauma-informed and occupationally-based strategies and how to use these approaches.
- To challenge misconceptions and held perceptions associated with this population
- To gain a deeper understanding of the impact of the environment on people with BPD.
